Information We Collect

Educsy does not ask for your name or email address. When you first open the app, it creates an anonymous account for you, identified by a random user ID. The information below is linked to that user ID.

• Your answers to the setup questions: why you want to learn about AI, how much experience you have, how many minutes a day you want to spend, and the days and time you want to learn.
• Your learning progress: the paths and lessons you start and finish, your answers to lesson questions, your accuracy and time, the dates you learn, and the XP, streak, and achievements that follow from them.
• Subscription information: whether you have a subscription or a free trial, and the related purchase details that Apple reports, such as the product, its dates, and the store country. We do not receive your payment card details.
• Support messages: if you email us, we receive your email address and your message. The email the app prepares for you also contains your user ID, the app version, and the iOS version, so that we can help you.

Linking your account to Sign in with Apple or to an email address is planned and optional. If you choose to link your account once this is available, we will also store the email address that Apple or you give us, so that you can sign in again.

Some information stays on your iPhone and is not sent to us, such as your practice review history and your reminder schedule.

Like any app that connects to the internet, Educsy sends technical information with each connection, such as your IP address, device model, iOS version, and language. Our service providers receive it as part of providing their services.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide Educsy: to recommend a learning path, save your progress, calculate your XP and streak, show your statistics and achievements, schedule the reminders you ask for, provide and restore subscriptions, answer support requests, fix problems, and protect the service from abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not show ads, and we do not use your information for advertising or to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Reminders

If you allow notifications, Educsy schedules reminders on your iPhone for the days and time you choose. They are created and delivered by your device. We do not send push notifications, and no notification content passes through our servers.

Service Providers

We share limited information with providers that help us run Educsy. These providers are permitted to process information only for services they provide to us.

• Supabase hosts our database and accounts. It stores your account, setup answers, and learning progress.
• Sanity delivers the lesson content. The app requests lessons from it without any account information.
• RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives your user ID and the purchase information Apple reports.
• Superwall shows subscription offers in the app. It receives your user ID and records which offers were shown and what you chose.
• Apple distributes the app and processes all payments. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple handles that sign-in.

Some of these providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States.

AI and Your Information

Educsy teaches about AI, but it does not send your answers, your account, or any other information about you to AI services. Our lessons are drafted with the help of AI and reviewed by a person before they are released. That happens when we write lessons, not while you use the app.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account exists, and as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You can delete your account in the app under Settings, Delete account. This deletes your account and all its progress, answers, and settings from our servers at once and from your iPhone. It cannot be undone. Some records are kept outside our database: RevenueCat's customer record and purchase history, Superwall's records, and our hosting providers' logs, each for their own retention period, and any emails you sent us.

If you never link your account, your progress can only be reached from the iPhone that created it. If you delete the app or lose the iPhone, you cannot get that progress back, and it stays on our servers until it is deleted. To remove it, delete your account in the app before you delete the app, or email us.

If you log out of a linked account, your data stays in that account.

Your Choices

You can change your daily goal and your reminder days and time in the app's Settings. You can allow or turn off notifications in your device settings at any time.

You can delete your account and its data in the app at any time, as described above. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: subscriptions are managed in your Apple account settings.

You can also ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing us. Please include your user ID, which the support email from the app contains. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as the right to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority.

This Website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking, and it loads nothing from other companies. The company that hosts the website may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver and protect it.

Children

Educsy is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted, and each account can read and change only its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
